Thread: 1851 census look up please

I am trying to trace the following:



Robert Daniel born 1828

John daniel Born 1835

Sarah daniel born 1839



They all appeared on the 1841 census with parents John and Ann Daniel

living in Leeds Yorkshire.



Two other children, Elizabeth Ann and Mary were still with parents in 1851 and 1861, but no mention of the other 3 children.

If they are not found living all three names appear in the deaths for Leeds between 1841-1851

Thanks for the reply Starlight. I have found Robert Daniel but lost another one..Mary Daniel born1826.



It is a posssibility that Mary Daniel married before 1851, which leaves John and Sarah.Is there any way to find the names of parents of deceased wiithout sending for death certicates. I do not mind sending for certicates, I do it all the time, if I am sure I have the right person.

This looks like Sarah as the only one born Leeds at that time.



Births Mar 1839 (>99%)

Daniel Sarah Jane

Leeds 23412





Deaths Dec 1842 (>99%)

DANIEL Sarah Jane

Leeds 23281



As John was born before registration of births commenced it will not be easy to check his as we don't know if he had a middle name.
