Thread: LOOK UP REQUEST FOR FREDERICK WILLIAM WILLIAMS

Hi,



I am looking for info. on my grandfather Frederick William Williams, not totally sure whereabouts in London he was born, he was born in 1892 and he worked in the Bovril factory in Shoreditch as a warehouseman for several years, died Stoke Newington and buried in Chingford Mount Cemetery, so i am assuming that he could have been born round that area. Can i have a look up done for 1901 for Edmonton area of London to try and trace him.

I think you may need to get your grandfather's marriage certificate which will give you the name of his father to find out if either of these is the right one.

I already have grandfathers marriage and death certificates. His father's name was the same as his, Frederick William Williams and he was a French Polisher.

My grandfather was buried Chingford Mount Cemetery, i am assuming that he may have been born around that area because of being buried there, because he lived for many years in Stoke Newington. I imagine there are a few cemeteries around S.Newington for him to be buried, so why Chingford Mount Cemetery. Grandad worked for many years in the Bovril factory in Shoreditch. In those days lots of the families had lodgers and i am thinking that he lodged in Stoke Newington prior to marriage. I have my grandmothers family who hail from S.Newington, but Williams is such a common name i am having trouble finding him.

Can i ask someone to look up Frederick Williams in 1901 census, i am having so much trouble locating his family unit. The details i have are RG13/0294/F16 age 9 (son) birthplace Aldgate - address 219 Cambridge Road

Bethnal Green East.



I also have another one RG13/0320/F118 age 8 (son) birthplace Limehouse - address 44 Repton Street, Limehouse.



I know his burial details - he was buried in Chingford Mount Cemetery, which is why i am assuming that may have been the area he was born. I also know who he married and the location, but that doesn't help me find HIS family at all.

Do you have his father's name and occupation from his marriage certificate ?

His father's name is also Frederick Williams, and they both had William as their middle names, and his father's occupation was French Polisher.

The father of this Frederick is William who is a Jeweller. I think that discounts him.



Do you have the full folio number of the other one you mentioned as I am having trouble finding him. Also do you have Fredericks age at marriage as there is another possible one.

I dont have any other numbers for the Limehouse(Borough of Tower Hamlets) one, although i got these from The Genealogist and there were some other numbers S&N i think - would they be of any use to you. I dont know his father's age at marriage or who he was married to either.
