Thread: William Walden

My Great Uncle Bill... William Walden (possible middle name George) may have been born in Bristol in 1907 ( Parents where Frederick & Ann Walden). My Great Grandfather moved the family there after finding work in the dockyards.

Apparently Uncle Bill died at a fairly young age (possibly about 30-31yrs ) after being wounded by shrapnel in some campaign (I'm not sure where).

My mother remembers seeing him, after he had been hit in the face by shrapnel, when she was evacuated as a child to Weymouth during WW2.

No.. because I wasn't enrirely sure of his birth date, but this was the only William Walden I found that seemed to fit.

I will probably send for it anyway because I've got a hunch it is him.
