Thread: 1871.1881 census look up please

Hi



I have found this family in the 1861 census living in Birmingham and would like a look up for any censuses after that



1861 Birmingham

Ellen Leonard / Lenord born 1819 in Ireland County Kerry (wid)

Jane Leonard / Lenord born 1841 in Ireland County Kerry (stay maker)

John Leonard / Lenord born 1843 in Ireland (button maker

Joseph Leonard/ Lenord born 1853 Birmingham

Emily Leonard / Lenord born 1858 Birmingham



In the 1861 census they are living with a married daughter and the name is written as Lenord but on a birth certificate I have it is Leonard.

Hi Carol, I posted the 61 census for ref. purposes, to help myself and others search for the elusive Leonards. Do you have evidence that the family was still in England in 1871? If so - let us know what info you have as it may help in the search.

Thanks for your reply. Since my first post I have now found John Leonard(1843) in 1871/81/91 censuses so I can only assume that the rest of the family stayed around. The problem is on all the documents I have on this family, birth cert, marriage cert etc. the name is mis-spelt. Hopefully a fresh brain may be able to find them.
