Thread: Is he still alive at 152 years old?

Joseph James MINETT was born September 1855 in Islington, Middlesex to Alphonus and Sophia MINETT (nee Cook/e) he married in 1877 at St. Andrews, Islington to Eleanor Sears ROBINSON. They had 4 known children 3 who suvived. However I cannot find his death anywhere. He is on the 1891 census at Cornelia Street, nr King's Cross Station on his own. His wife and two of the children are with his parents. 1901 census no sign of Joseph James at all. the Joseph Minett in the Workhouse at St.Mary's Islington is not our man. Eldest surviving child Sophia married in 1902 and her marriage certificate says Joseph is deceased. Same goes for Grandad when he married in 1909. So when and where and how has JJ left us. No trace can be found......



Now what do I do???????? Can anyone come up with a new idea please..........

Joseph James was definately born 19th Sept 1855.



I just pray something will come to light one day.

Could this be a possible. Found a Joseph MINNETT Age 57 death September 1911 Lewisham Vol. 1d Page 1324.



I know it is after childrens marriages where he was supposed to be dead but maybe they just considered he was dead if he had done something very naughty.



Found this on the 1901 census. Not a paid member so can't look at the full view.

Perhaps he died abroad.

Have hunted the passports, passengers lists, you name it I think we have looked, and just found nothing at all. He is as I always call him now 'Our Elusive Butterfly'

Only place I have not had any luck in is the Foreign Legion, and they have never replied to my emails at all.
