Thread: McGrandles Family tree

Hi

i was wondering if any one can help. Since my last post i have descovered the marriage of my gt.gt.gt grandparents James McGrandles and Margerret Holmes on the 10 august 1851 at old monkland lanark but i am unable to find and other deaths registered only that james parents are possibly called Cecilia and john and that the surname was misspelt as mc granlie on a census which states james was born in ireland but i am at a lose family have told me that we orginate from armagh i have got 1 month membership on emerald ancestors.com but still nothing there was also talk of the family name originally being reynolds

Please can anyone help

Thank you for your help gillian. i have hit a brick wall. i have paid out a small fortune to different sites none of which are any help. and don't know what i going to do next! think i just going to give up now thanks for all hyou help claire

Well you have done pretty well with them I think - unfortunately the Irish records just aren't available at present. A few more are beginning to be available online so maybe the situation may change in the not too distant future.
