I have been trying to find out what happened to my American Great Uncle - George Patrick Houlihan. He was born in Tipperary, Ireland in 1882 and emigrated to Boston Massachusetts USA and became a dentist. A family member was corresponding with him upto World War 2. After the war this family member lost contact with him. He tried contacting the Dental Associations, Police and Chrysler (where George Patrick Houlihan's daughter Ruth had worked) but nobody seemed to know what had happened to him. I have found George Patrick Houlihan in the 1910, 1920 and 1930 American census but have been unsuccessful in finding his date of death. Just recently I have found he was called up in the "Old Man's Draft" in 1942. I have his address when he was called up which was 65 Bunker Hill Street, Charleston Massachusetts. Where can I find out when he died. The serial number on his US World War " Registration Card is 2194. I suspect he died in the war but do not know where he was sent. He was about 60 years of age.
Also does anyone know how I can find out what his daughter's married name was. She married in about 1936 (she was born in 1910). In the 1930 census they were living in Quincy, Norfolk, Massachusetts but I do not know the address. She worked as a sternographer at Chrysler. I would love to find out if there are any descendents of them still alive.
