Thread: Help Needed with William White Please

Hi,



I have William White in 1851 living in 6 Court, Allen Street Sheffield. Also there are is a lady showing as head, aged 23 years on Parish Relief. It states William is her son. Also his wife and 1 child.



Ref No HO 107/2339.



Can anyone help me to find William's mother, if she is indeed Jane and see if you can read her true age. She has got to be older than 23years!!



They must have been in Connisborough around 1823 when William was born. Was she still there in 1841?



Also I can't find a marriage for William and Mary which would have been around 1850, probably Sheffield.

This is the only William that matched william in 1851 there is not much info on 1841 Hannah 40 Jane 75 william 15 knife presser

Looks like Hannah is the mother this Jane would be 85 in 1851 all born in Sheffield.

do you know mary's maiden name will look for her now hope this helps Valxxx

I have look on ancestry and family search for a marrage looked over 10 years only these Mary's

Mary Ann Shaw jan feb mar 1851 Mary Ann Harrison oct-dec 1850

Mary Ann Stevenson dec 1850

Mary Bagnall 1850 this may be her as all other's Mary Ann and your's is Mary Jane.

I thought Jane was born Clayton, Yorkshire. Mary Jane is born Sheffield and William born Connisborough. I haven't found a marriage yet, non showing on FreeBMD or Ancestry and his birth bot showing on LDS.

Margret you may be right right about Jane i have had that in Derby some times my village is in sheffield and connisbro is part of sheffield Valxxx
