Thread: MacBeth and Nicole in Scotland

I am a new user to this site and am hoping to connect with anyone out there who might be willing to help a somewhat confused American to figure out how to do research in Scotland. Anyone willing? I know my Family names ( MacBeth and Nicole) I also know my great great grandfather was Land Steward at Stobhall House in 1851 and 1861. But I don't know how to go about finding any records. Can anyone help?

On the same board I can do Scotland census lookups,which I back up with BMD when needed and if I have credits to spare.

I thank you so much for responding.I will check out both sites ya'll sent. I am feeling really dumb as I have no idea what a BMD is , nor what extra credits are. Could be my 1st lesson on researching there. Thanks again.

When you see something like BMD written you will notice it is in bolder writting. Place your mouse over it and you will see what it means........I hope
