Would some kind person please lookup for me the marriage of





John SHARD or SHERD and Mary Dawson



Marriage 9th August 1802 at Prestwhich Manchester Lancs





Need Parents names and witnesses if possible.

The best place to search on-line for a marriage in 1802 is the following:-



www.familysearch.org



It is the Church of the Latter Day Saints site (Morman). You will need to search on the IGI on there.



Records can be searched here for births, marriages and deaths before 1837.

I have just had a look for the marriage and it shows as you say but doesn't give the parents names of either of them. Christenings/Births are not showing for them either. Witnesses will only show on the marriage certificate or record in Parish records I think.



Someone may have Parish Records indexes to help you.
