Sophia Yule

Bit vague on this one I'm afraid but I'd like to know a bit more about Sophia Yule. Far as I can tell she was probably born in Crimond Scotland mid 1700's. She married James Quirie (B 1776) at Rathen Aberdeen.

Surname Yule sometimes is spelt Youll. Any help appreciated

Hi Mary,

There are two Sophia Yule's and one Youll but none that I can find before 1830. Also, I could not find the marriage to James Quirie although there is one married a Margaret Dicky 27/11/1754 in Aberdeen.

Thanks star................didn't know about the Quirie married to Margaret Dicky.........have to check that one out.

This Sophia's not that easy to find out much about.

Hi Mary,

There are a few James Quirie marriages. As they were before registration began in 1854 there is very little information apart from names, date and area of marriage. The next one after 1854 is in 1895.
