George maried 2 more to a Violet, then a Doris. This is all i have would be greatful for any info and im guessing they all come from Harefield Middles as Eric and Bernard were in the Middlesex Regiment.

Wow thats brilliant thankyou Harryman. can i ask where you found this info as ive been trying for ages to find anything. ive gone back as far as 1650 on my nans side. but not been able to find anythig on my grandad side. So thankyou again.

There is also a death which may be "your" Roderick -as it is quite an unusual name????

on 1901 there is a George R lane age 8 b. Denham Bucks living in Eton with siblings and mother Annie Frances Lane (who is described as married, but her husbamd is not at home on census night.



If you send for George Richard lane's marriage cert, that should give you his father's name and occupation
