I am looking for a Mary E. Jones born in Birkenhead in 1880 daughter of Owen Jones & Margaret Durning.

She was still single in 1901 & working as a domestic. I would like to find out if she ever married & to whom.

I know she had one daughter named Margaret & that daughter's last name was Jackson..She was living in Allerton, Liverpool in 1958. So is Jackson Margarets maiden name or her married name. ??

Was Margaret born out of wedlock or did Mary E. marry ? Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Slizzy, Thank you for answering my plea for help. Margaret Jackson was the daughter of Mary E. Jones..the daughter of Owen Jones & Margaret Durning.. Mary E. was born in 1880 in Birkenhead.. & to this day I can not find when she was married or who she married.. or if she ever did marry. I do know that Margaret Jackson was her daughter... and that's really all I know.. except ... Margaret was still living in Liverpool in 1958. I have an address for her at that time. If she is still living I would presume she would be in her 80's by now. Do you think we have a connection here Slizzy ??? Hoping to hear back from you and thank you for writing.

No I haven't seen that marriage record before Slizzy.. Is there any way it would tell me who Mary E's parents are without sending for the certificate ??

I've had no luck finding a Margaret Jackson whose mother's maiden name was Jones.

Which BMD's are you finding all this info Slizzy ? If this is Margaret... it could mean that Mary E.. married a Jones or she was still single when she had the baby. Right ??

Yes Margie, the birth record I posted does mean that that Margaret's mother's maiden name was Jones. I use the Ancestry database to search for BMD's.
