    Hi Angie,

Why not send for his marriage certificate..... it will give you his father's name.

    Jun Quarter 1898

Ref-: St. Olave Vol 1d page 475.

St Olave was the registration district for Southwark.

Hope this helps in your search.

Let's hope you've inherited her genes Angie what a grand old age.

Good luck with your Gutteridges, and yes please - do let me know how things go. When you have William's father's name you can ask for further help with census look-ups.

    Hi Angiee

Just a thought if the old lady is 98 that makes her born c1909 if her grandfather was born 1880 could he really be a grandfather aged 29?

I know it is possible but is it very likeley ?

    Just a thought.
