Thread: aherne family

i am looking for info on the aherne family my my Grandma Julia Aherne came to England and married Henry Parkinson in 1913 her brother William Aherne also came to England.I would be gratefull if anyone could advise me of any websites i could access for Irish records i have not had any success as yet.I have posted a message on the county cork message board but have not had a reply.Thank you Norman

Not sure if its any help but when I was a child in the 1960's I know we were registered with a Dr Aherne in Carshalton in Surrey, England.

Hi Norman - Irish ancestry is a nightmare - so glad I haven't got any!

However, you're in luck - there are a number of Ahernes County Cork on the IGI - familysearch.org
