Does anyone know where to start researching french ancestory, and if these sites would be in english aswell (I can't speak french to save my life let alone read it)

If you put French Genealogical Research in your search engine a number of sites come up, scroll down to No.7 which is a site for beginner's, this may help you.

Ummmm ... I didn't get that site you mentioned Nanna,

I can't even find a result like "for beginners" in my list anywhere
