Thread: help re; stockwell and turner please

Good morn to you all, i have been searching for



these peeps for a fair while on the 1901 census.



I am hoping that by sharing what info i have



someone might be able to help me track them



down, .



I have a wedding cert. for ;



1919 7th september ,South Warnborough in the

county of Southampton.



Albert Edward stockwell 20 yrs

fathers name, Charles Stockwell.

Both lab.



Alice Turner 20yrs .

Fathers name , Oliver Turner.

Again a lab.



Both reside in South Warnborough.



Can't quiet make out the witness.



I have dates of when they died but not when born

nothing seems to be straight forward.



Edward Albert (seems he changed his names

round but this is the right one) died 30/4/66



Alice stockwell (nee Turner) died 28/12/63

Hi Nanna , i have seen this one and noted it down.But as of yet i haven't sent for it as i wasn't total sure but if you have a similar thought i will do this tomorrow.



I have spent the night searching ancestry again. I was searching the 1901 census and have found a possible for Alice, unfortunately she was staying with grandparents. So i think i'll just file it as i'm not too sure if the area is local to south warnborough.



Alice aged 1 yr b . abt; 1900 with grandparents Annie Turner 61 and Henry Turner 64.

civil parish swindon , swindon Goose Hill St. Barnabas, Wiltshere England.

I had an e-mail back in July , not



sure if it was me who filed it in a folder



or if it was one of the kids ......



but hey it looks like a lead , seems they



they changed their surname to smith in



1901 thats why i couldn't find the stockwells.



They also have links to the Turners .............

Hi everyone , it's been busy but getting nowhere at the mo again .



Nanna - thank you it was the right one , Edward Albert Stockwell. So that's another cert to add to the collection.



I must admit it did make me think as his mothers name is formerly Turner and he went on to marry Alice Turner , wonder if they first cousin or some thing ?



As for Alice Turner i am getting nowhere fast at all . No luck with a cert , another person searching for them has had a refund as the parents names aren't the same , so he is reapplying just the postie strike holding things up.



Suppose i could spend 1/2 hr on ancestry ,you never know i might get lucky , lol . Tina

Hello to everyone ,i thought it best to update my search as we have got slightly further down the line but nowhere fast.



We now have Alice Turners birth certicate . Which confirms she is,belongs to my tree .



I have now found out that i have Romany family,which sounds exciting , however makes it harder to search for info.



I have so much infomation , over 100 emails with bits and peices in but we still haven't got back very far.Another family tree searcher has an interest in the Turners and Stockwells and we are linked down the line and he has shared some beautiful photos with me .



Just how do you sort it all ? lol.
