Thread: Rowland Allt

Hi all



Rowland Allts burial place as been found in France he died on 12th June 1918, his age though has been given as 29.

I have him as being born in 1891 in Oldham which would have made him 27 when he died. Thanks for any help.

You have probably got his birth reference but just in case not -

Rowland Allt 2/1891 Oldham 8d 710

It's quite common for these wartime burial records to be a bit inaccurate as to age. The record gives the names of his parents and his wife so it is easy to verify that it is the right one.
