Thread: 1871 lookup help please

Can anyone find the following on the 1871 census please.



Wheatley Gray Johnson born 1850 in Cramlington (Tynemouth), Northumberland. He is unmarried so may be with his parents Joseph 1818 and Elizabeth 1823. In 1861 they were living in Cramlington. Wheatley married in 1874 at Morpeth and was living in North Seaton in 1881.

On the original sheet "Whentley George" definitely reads as Wheatley Gray.

I was going to give up with this year as I have the other census years. Something kept telling me that it was going to give me something else and I was right.....Another problem. . I have Wheatley's mother as Elizabeth Gray so it looks like I will have to get the marriage certificate now.

I have just had a chance to look at the image. Even with a migraine Gray looks nothing like George.
