Richard South was born sometime in the time frame 1799-1803 of Lincolnshire

I can prove he was in Gedney in 1829, when his first child was born, and I know his wife, Elizabeth Bossworth, was born 25 Jan 1810 in Kirton-in-Holland. but the IGI has neither his birth or their marriage. FreeBMD doesn't have their marriage, either.

I've been told that Lincolnshire records are spotty. however, is there anyone out there who can check parish records for him?

Richard brought his family to America in 1837 on the Wolga. this included Richard, Elizabeth, their son Michael and their daughter Carolina, whom family stories say was washed overboard and lost. no note is on the passenger list, so maybe there's another story.
