    Default missing peice's

    Hi all

Can anyone help me find any information out about my aunts birth mother,my aunt has now passed away so i have limited info to work from. My aunt was born in 1919 in east london on her birth cirtificate her mother is named as Lizzie jefferies, i do know my aunt spent time in a childrens home before being adopted by my grandfather and his first wife. the adoption papers are dated september 1922 she then went to live with her new family in millwall east london.

If anyone has any info about lizzie i would be greatfull, i would like to know what made her make the heartbreaking decision to have her baby put into an orphanage or maybe she to passed away, what makes my aunts life so sad is that only a few years after her adoption her adopted mum also passed away.

i would like to peice the jigsaw together

    thank you angiee

4/1923 Lizzie Jefferies married Frank E Abbott Lambeth 1d 753

I guess that at that time bringing up a child on your own would simply not have been an option

    Hi Gillian

This is fantastic thank you so much , i think its safe to say frank was probably not my aunts father. to think she had half sisters and never knew is weird, she would have liked to have known that. When her adopted mum died her adopted father did remarry and have children with his new wife so she had adopted siblings but there was a 12 year age gap. she loved her adopted mum so much , she was heartbroken when she died. I am trying to find out how they met each other in the first place.

thanks for your help i am amazed and very greatfull

    thank you angiee
