Hi, I am researching the Maidment family from Mere, in particular Thomas (1699) and his descendants/ancestors. My gg grandfather was Albert Bernard (1891)

Also I am looking for the Paradise family of Melksham. William Isaac (1842) was my ggg grandfather.

Also Rhymer's of Westbury and Bradford on Avon

Hi, One of my ancestors is Sir Walter Long who held the office of High Sheriff of Wiltshire (Sheriff in 1602 , M. P. for Wilts in 1592). He lived South Wraxall Manor, Wiltshire. He was born circa 1565 and was the son of Sir Robert Longe and Barbara Carne. He married, firstly, Mary Packington and after her death married Catherine Thynne, daughter of Sir John Thynne of Longlete. He died in 1610 and was buried on 30 October 1610 at Draycot, Wiltshire. I have found he was a friend of Sir Walter Raleigh and I also have a ghost story connected with his death.

hi, traced the family to wroughton in Wiltshire, looking for John Speck 1802 and his wife Mary 1807, listed at elcomb tithing, cricklade ? 1841 census then highworth in 1851 unfortunately several families same name and location!!
