Hi Summers76, welcome hopefully we can all help one another In this group I am looking at my father's family tree, and have basically become very stuck. Looking at Brown's from Newbiggin & before that Cresswell. Storey from Newbiggin. Twizell also from Newbiggin & Bedlington. Mostly fisherfolk but the odd miner or farmworker thrown in. Also looking at Beatie from Chatton & fenwicks from Morpeth.Who are you looking for? Hello again to everyone, one day I am sure we will find someone that one of us is looking for.......

Hi everyone ,it is good to see we are getting to be a nice little group. I have got no further with my Northumberland research, has anyone had some success with theirs? I keep forgetting to post here, wouldn't it be nice to have some really unusual names ? it might make things a little easier. I seem [unfortunately] to be stuck with names like Brown, not to forget Kelly!! I am not local to Northumberland. However my father was born at Newbiggin by the sea and so I have quite an interest in the area.I would like to find the time to go to Woodhorn record office, oh well in my dreams...... perhaps one day

Hi all, thanks for joining the group. I am researching Twizells from Newbiggin by sea & Bedlington. Also Browns from Newbiggin. One of my brick walls is Thomas Brown married Ann Grant at Woodhorn St Mary's 1768 believed to have been born approx 1750. Lived all his married liife in Cresswell. I am sure this is going to be a lot like lookimg for the proverbial needle. Will keep a look out for all the names
