Hi, I have been researching my paternal grandmother's, paternal family. The family name is Foulsham. I believe an Isaac Foulsham (born somewhere between 1800 and 1820) left England for Australia at some time before 1851 (date of his marriage in Sydney NSW). He was probably a felon transported in 1823 for a term of 14 years. Unfortunately the court records for this felon are not very informative.

I am having difficulty finding anyone with the name of Foulsham in England. Has anyone researching another family come across this name - other than for the village/town?

Isaac married Elizabeth Rebecca Drew in 1851 in Sydney Australia. The Drew family also came from around Norwich and emigrated as assisted passengers.

Any help will be very welcome.

    hi Chris
thanks for info, hope your mouse is better now!
About the death, is it Joseph's in 1848, and what does the female forename refer to. Any death showing for Louisa Heywood (wife) as in the '61 census it is just 4 sisters.
    Any more info appreciated
    Dave
