    Hi gillian

I didn't have that marriage thank you - so now the question in was Susannah Miitton really Susan Witton? A trip to Norfolk I think but I'm disapointed the marriage won't give her father's name. I have Bolland's family and the earlier marriage is his father Bolland - his second marriage in fact. I have a copy of his will in which he leavesary only such as she brought to the marraige...
thank you for those dates Gillian

Hi Chrissa - not sure if you have these - marriage Emneth 15.11.32 Bolland Tiffin to Susan Witton. The info is from an index - you would be best to look at the original record but it won't give her father's name (witnesses might help though)
Also an earlier Bolland Tiffin marriage Downham Market 21.6.11 Bolland Tiffin to Mary Fisher.

Hi - Can anyone point me in the right direction to find out more about my hubby's Mitton family? Susannah was born in 1815 in Wisbech, she has a brother William born 1805 who was a farmer. Susannah married Bolland Tiffin and the first child was born 1834. Family rumour has it there is Italian blood in the family, through a sea captain, I've searched Tiffins as far back as I can and no sign of any sea captains. I can find nothing on the Mittons, I'm not sure if there would be a arriage cert which would have given me Susannah's father's name with any luck. I suspect a trip to Norfolk is needed.

Chris. On the 5th May you mentioned one of the names in your research was Jermey. I have one in my Treer Married to a Cousin. All I have is William H. Jermey born 11 April 1915 (no place) died in Brentwood Essex DDec Quarter 1997 (? B50B.91).
He was married to Violet Grimme. I do not have full details as I did not research much after her Mother as they are the offspring from my Great Grandmother's 4th chi9ld born six years after my G. Grandad had died.
    Regards, Rastus

Yes - I got it from Links some time ago when I found the obituary - but obviously either didn't search as carefully as I might have - or maybe more records have been added. So to anyone - the site is a really good one and worth spending some time searching - for places as well as surnames (and the collection of Norfolk sites on links hints & tips is particularly good!)

...and - just now - found an enclosure map with ancestor's name and land marked on it - am ecstatic - can't wait to get a copy! A minute ago I was half asleep - now I'm wide awake again! Thank you Chrissa - if it hadn't been for your post I probably wouldn't have looked again.
