    Hi all,
As this is a forum for Essex, why don't we all put our Essex surnames down and see if we can link up? I'll start it off.
Wisken, Wiskin, Saville, Auger, Barker, Salmon, Turner,Taylor.
That's enough to be going on with I think lol

Hi, My ancestors are from the Saffron Walden area, and also Wanstead, Leytonstone areas. I know that some emigrated to Australia, New Zealand, Canada and USA, and others spread around the country. Anyone with connections to these areas?

I live in Australia but I have traced my parental ancestors to Great Waltham and Chelmsford, Essex.
My 3rd Great Grandfather was born there and was transported to Australia in 1816.
I would like to contact any other descendants who may still live in England.

My Essex names fall into two groups, one in Brightlingsea and Wivenhoe, and the other in the Chelmsford area.

    Good evening Jackboc,

My Essex interests are based in Great Warley with family members coming from Stock, Maldon and Rochford over the period from 1850 to date. Research has been fruitful with a slight glitch trying to find my grandmother's family. On her marriage certificate her father / family is not mentioned ...... interesting. She was born in Rochford. Still 'nil desperandum' I will get there in the end; especially with the help of the A.A. family.
    Will post again soon.

    Kind regards,

    DeeJay.
