Default NEAREST GRAVEYARD LIST

This will hopefully be of use to people, hopefully powers that be will make this a sticky

a list created and added to by members who name the nearest cemetary to their location, so that when asking for lookups in a particular cemetary you may find a member who lives nearest to it to look and transcribe it for you (purely voluntary of course)

the list will be edited alphabetically as we go along (i hope)

so i'll start it off

Location and (Name)

AUS,QUEENSLAND, Wondai Kingaroy Proston Murgon(FRANKIEROYLE)

UK, ISLE OF MAN, (MOLLIE)with help from (NANNA)

NOTE: if will help me if you write a line the same as list above, so that i can easily copy and paste, (only nearest cemetary) as any other info will be in your own post.

Welford Road Leicester
This is a very big cemetery so I would need some indication as to location of grave.
Also happy to look up any small graveyards in Leics or Northants.

Thats kind of you Gillian. Not sure how much of Northants you can do but I've got rellies in a graveyard at Sywell Church and possibly some in a cemetary on the corner of Irthlingborough Road in Wellingborough. I'd appreciate any info. Every time I've been down there the weather has decided it's not my day and chucked it down with rain. I'm looking for Pendereds/Pendred

(AKA Mary)

How beautiful it is to do nothing and rest afterwards...

mine are ely cemetry in cardiff and thornhill cemetry/crematorium in cardiff but would need some time as busy (6 kids!)

in addition what about editing the profile section on each member to include a bit where we can state closest cemetry and whether look-ups are possible or not? it might make it easier (?)

this is the best site for help and support and a feeling of hope....... thanks gillian always and thanks everyone else at AA for everything

For anyone looking for someone in Oz. All New South Wales. I am near Windsor, Richmond, Riverstone, Pitt Town are the main ones but I may be able to go a bit further afield, in the surrounding suburbs. Bearing in mind they will be pretty old cemeteries and there may have been vandalism or headstones very hard to read or missing. But I will do my best.

Hi Mary - no problem with the Wellingborough area. Will have to be in the New Year now though.
Send me a pm if there are any particular Pendereds you are looking for - otherwise I'll just see what I can find.

Mine is the Tiverton Cemetery in Devon. Would need time though as it's quite big!

I can do the Harrogate (North Yorkshire) area - particularly Grove Road Cemetery & Stonefall Cemetery (which has a CWGC section - mostly Canadian airmen but also other nationalities). I may be able to do other parts of North Yorkshire, but would need a bit of time.

Sheffield

lol although City Road is HUUUGE!!

There are a number of cemetries and graveyards around the city that I could access.

Also I could possibly visit North East Derbyshire i.e. Dronfield, Coal Aston, Eckington, Killamarsh, and surrounding areas.

Wink Re: NEAREST GRAVEYARD LIST

Hi Guys............As a lot of you know..I live in Isle of Man............there are cemetries and churchyards dotted all over. If anyone needs help in this area I will do my best to find info. Please understand though I am not a Manx person so you may have to wait a while for results if requested. Have only been here 5 years but am willing to help if needed. It's a small Island and easy to get round as long as Mannin isn't wearing his cloak........lol. (Nanna knows). So anything for Isle of Man.....just ask.

Cheers

Mollie
