Dear Ancestry Aid friends!
I am looking for a grave in Ramsgate Cemetery, Mary Sabina Phillips, 1914. (Possibly Mary Sabina Heath)
I currently live in North Devon and am not likely to be able to get down to Ramsgate in the near future. I have recently found my great, great grandfather's grave in Reading and it has on it:
In ever loving memory of
OWEN PHILLIPS
passed into rest March 13 1911 aged 74 years
“Calm is thy slumber as an infant’s sleep
but thou shalt wake no more to toil and weep
thine is a perfect rest, secure and deep”
and also of
MARY SABINA
wife of the above
passed into rest May 23 1914
aged 83 years
“thy will be done”
interred in Ramsgate
Cemetery
I am therefore really keen to find the grave of Mary Sabina Phillips who died in 1914 and was buried in Ramsgate. Mary Sabina had a son Edmund James Heath out of wedlock and I have this theory that she may have been buried with him in Ramsgate rather than with her husband in Reading. It may just have been that she wanted to spend the last few years of her life by the sea of course! She is listed as still owning the grave in Reading, so I am thinking that there must be a reason she chose to be buried in Kent!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
