Post ANYONE DOING OLD MONKLAND CEMETERY IN SCOTLAND?

Hi, HELP HELP HELP

I have a Old Monkland Lair of my gggrandfathers ..
I have written several letters to the Old Monkland Cemetery Office about
this and they keep telling me there is no such area...I have a map and it
shows it on the map...why cant they tell me who is buried there ...I
have even given a couple of possibles and their death dates..
The Lair says Section: 103 # 35 Belonging to Walter Brown....
Section 103 is close to the Water Tower in the Old Church Graveyard....
If possible I was wondering if someone in that area would do a search for
me.....will give you more detail....Crookedtail

Hi,

I so appreciate your post to help me...altho I did have someone reply
on a other forum..and was able to help me some.
I have learned that Section 103 no longer exists...It is called the Heritage
area now in the south corner ...and that the Tower no longer exists...
There are only a few graves there about...60 of them...and I understand
that alot of them are half buried in soil...
If you could see if a care taker is around and be able to pin point where
# 35 is that would be great or take some pictures of the area close to that
area that would be wonderful....I was told there is a family called Pollock that is at # 42 so it can't be far from there....and again there may not be a stone (which I fear)....The Lair belonged to my gggrandfather ..
Walter Brown dated 1855 ....I think they buried a son Robert Brown at
that time so he may have the plot or possible Walters father James Brown.
The Lair reads....Section 103 # 35...I havent been successful getting a
answer from the Officals so I don't know ..so if someone would be there
to maybe show you or tell ;yu more that would be exactly what i need...
If you go there sometime it would be appreciated as I live in the USA.
Thanks,Thanks for your help.....Crookedtail
