Default Cemeteries & other Lookups- Newcastle Upon Tyne

Hi all,

Is there anyone who can please help me. I'm trying to find where my Auntie was buried, her name and details are as follows:

Iris Georgina Thomson
Died: 13th April 1941. Aged 2 months

Address where she passed away: 248 Hamilton Street, Arthur's Hill in Newcastle Upon Tyne West Central. Daughter of George Thomson (Seaman in the Royal Navy, (Chef))and Patricia Thomson. I'm also looking for George Thomson: born 12th February 1914 in Scotland, and I do not know if he is now deceased or still living, but would dearly like to find him. He was known to live at 13 North Terrace Newcastle Upon Tyne in 1939 and later moved to 248 Hamilton Street, Arthur's Hill in Newcastle Upon Tyne around late 1940. It is not known where he lived in Newcastle Upon Tyne after this date as around 1954 he and his wife Patricia Thomson (nee Cummings) divorced.

Also I'm searching for Arthur Cummings who lived at 93 Fouracres Road,Cowgate Newcastle Upon Tyne and died at 105 Royal Victoria Infirmary aged 70 yrs on 7th February 1948, his wife was Elizabeth Ann Cummings (widow). I'm assuming that Iris Thomson, her father - George Thomson (if he is deceased) and her Grandfather Arthur Cummings were buried in the same cemetery as they were poor and I presume they buried their loved ones in cemeteries near to where they lived?

If anyone can help with lookups I'd be really greatful as I live in Australia and have no way of finding out this information from here.

Thank you kindly

Amandabeth

Hi

I do my research at the Newcastle Archive Centre. I do not know if the records for the time you are asking are there but I will try and find out. However, if you could let me know what religion they were I will also try to find out from the local church in the area.

Regards

Frances

Hi

Just to let you know I have not forgotten about your ancestors. I am slowly working through the cemetery records for the Newcastle area and will give you the information when I have received it.

Not all of the records are at the archive centre so I have to try and visit the cemeteries to check ther.

Regards

Frances
