Hi Migky

My Grt grt Grandad, Wilson GRAYSON, died in the March Qtr 1893 in Manchester. He would have been aged c64/5. His last known address was on the 1891 Census when he was living at 37 Frederick Street, Salford.

His 2nd wife Elizabeth was still alive in 1901 and, as far as I know they didnt have any children.

ANything that you are able to find would be appreciated

TIA

Loz

Hi B.N.M. aka Lozzie Sorry to say i think you got the details of the death wrong?
Wilson Grayson March 1/4 1893 SALFORD not Manchester. 8d 83.
Manchester and Salford are to separate city's. I think you should be looking for Salford burials. I think Weaste Cemetery is the one you check with as it opend 1857 and is the largest. Sorry i could not help more.

Well if you do find any in Manchester let me know i may still be able to help with them for you. You can search Manchester burials on here for free but pay if you want to see there records. If you do find any on this site that might be your give us a shout and will try and find more info for you, But would need Name/ Year/1/4 and what religion they were if poss. You said you might take a ride over and check them out your self in Salford , where can you do that, i have always been told they charge for this?

Hi Migky,

I've seen what a great resource you have been to some others on this site. I hope you could help me out. I have several relatives buried in both Southern and Philips Park. My main source for most of them is the Manchester Burials search site. Here they are: Year of BurialDeceased NameCemetery1956George Howland Southern1986Carnitta Alicia Marce Howland Cremated Remains Of Philips Park1991Violet Agnes Howland Southern1944Charles Howland Southern1910George Howland Southern1894Jane Ann Howland Southern1933Alice Howland Philips Park1910William Howland Philips Park1909James Howland Philips Park1941Charles Alfred Howland Philips Park1910Ruson Howland Philips Park

Carnitta, William, and Alice are mysteries, but my dad says the only Howlands he knew in Manchester were relatives, so perhaps some details on them could help me sort out if they are related or not. The most important ones are Charles, Charles Alfred, and George and Jane Ann. George was married to Jane Ann. Charles was married to Violet. For some reason, Charles Alfred's wife is not listed. Her name was Sarah Ann (Curran).

Any info you can come up with would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance and have a great day,
Daryl

Definitely C-of-E as far back as my dad can remember. My dad went to All Souls on Every St. in Ancoats, but I believe that was after his dad died (Charles, 1944).

Thanks,
Daryl
