Hello - If you find any record of a grave for Agness Laing nee Ovens I would be most appreciative.
I believe that she died in either Ancrum or Jedburgh but I don't know where she would be buried.
Her husband Robert Laing remarried a Jean Douglas in Jedburgh and they emigrated to Canada in 1850. I am a descendent of one of the sons of Robert and Agnes laing.

Hi Wardy Pawdy - this is a long shot, but I've just found out that one of 'my lot' were working in Roxburghshire - and I've 'lost' him some time after 1861/71. Name of Robert Rogers, born 1833 Wales. Would be good if you could find him.
Maureen
ps love your name - some of my 'lot' hail from Sunderland [also Ward is a family name from Co Durham]

Hi Laindalaing58 and Maureen, No problem, I will have a look-see when I'm up in the Borders.
