I'm not sure if this is what you want, but you can look up burial records here.
http://www.burialrecords.manchester.gov.uk/RegEnq.asp

There's a charge for details, but to find someone, it's free.

Thanks for the reply D...I have seen that web site, and would be willing to pay if I knew that the details provided included the person who registered the death.

Does anyone know if this is the case?

I'm not sure if this implies that the receipt would contain what you seek.

Thank you D.

That does not sound as though it would include the name of the person registering the death.

Thank you for trying though.

I have made contact with a researcher who with the information I have will go to the records office in Manchester, and locate the graves for me.

This is one of the things I miss being able to do with not living in the UK.

Thanks for your help, it is actually useful to know what is included if you subscribe for the information on their web site, it really is not much use if you are not able to visit the cemetery.

Yes, I thought so also.

"....with not living in the UK."

I'm in the same boat. (Just realized today that I had the wrong flag next to my name.) It would be so easy if we were in the neighborhood.

Hi Migky

Thank you for your reply and welcome to this great board.

I was not able to confirm that all members of the family were buried at Southern. I will check the information I have and if I find any not buried in Southern I will let you know.

I am not sure how these things work...is there an index of surnames at the cemetery. I know the year that the deaths occurred, would you be able to find out if anyone was buried at the other cemetery's with this information?

Thanks for you kind offer
