Thread: The Howwf Dundee

Does anyone live near The Howff burial ground Dundee who is able to take a digital photo of a tombstone? I am looking for a photo of the tombstone of Robert Robertson, musician, who die 1808. The stone was erected by his son Robert and daughter Margaret and also has the inscription for is 2 wives, Christian Drummond and Agnes Couper, also a niece MAry, wife of Thomas Dunn. I would be very grateful if anyone can help here. Cheers

I'm assuming that since, there are no replies to your post, you could still be waiting for that photograph?
I live in St Andrews, Fife about 12 miles away from Dundee and perhaps could be able to help you.
Do you have a location in the Cemetery for the stone. It's not a vast site but a wee bit of extra detail would help.
I notice you mention a 'Drummond' in your post as well ... I'm of maternal Drummond descent but mainly from Fife. There's no mention in my line of one of them marrying a Robertson though.

Hi Chiad; Thank you for your offer. I did manage to get a photo from a very helpful lady through my PM mesage box.
My Drummond family are hard to track but I did manage to find that Robert Robertson and Christian Drummond were married at abdie Fife in 1752. I cant find any baptism for her though. Once again, Many thanks.
