Does anyone live near The Howff burial ground Dundee who is able to take a digital photo of a tombstone? I am looking for a photo of the tombstone of Robert Robertson, musician, who die 1808. The stone was erected by his son Robert and daughter Margaret and also has the inscription for is 2 wives, Christian Drummond and Agnes Couper, also a niece MAry, wife of Thomas Dunn. I would be very grateful if anyone can help here. Cheers

Hi Seeker
I'm assuming that since, there are no replies to your post, you could still be waiting for that photograph? I live in St Andrews, Fife about 12 miles away from Dundee and perhaps could be able to help you. Do you have a location in the Cemetery for the stone. It's not a vast site but a wee bit of extra detail would help. I notice you mention a 'Drummond' in your post as well ... I'm of maternal Drummond descent but mainly from Fife. There's no mention in my line of one of them marrying a Robertson though. |

Hi Chiad; Thank you for your offer. I did manage to get a photo from a very helpful lady through my PM mesage box.
My Drummond family are hard to track but I did manage to find that Robert Robertson and Christian Drummond were married at abdie Fife in 1752. I cant find any baptism for her though. Once again, Many thanks. ![]() |
