Lockyer/Thomas/Kennet Family Merthyr Tydfil

Hi, we have joined this forum in the hope that we are able to find out some information on my husbands relatives. My husbands name is David and his Great Great Great Grandfather was John Lockyer and sometime in the latter part of the 1830's to1840's he moved from Somerset to Merthyr Tydfil for work, we also know that as of the 1851 census he was living in Picton Street in Merthyr Tydfil.
We only have very patchy bits and pieces of the family after this so we are hoping that there may be someone else out there who can help us fill in the missing pieces.

We are delighted you have joined us here and really hope you will have some success and find all your missing people(well perhaps not ALL but maybe some of them.)

Hello have you checked the other census'es for any details? I have had a quick look on the IGI but there are lots of John Lockyers. Do you know approx what year he was born or where in Somerset? If we knew where we may get something off the parish records. I'm assuming he married and had children do you know any of their names.. I am sure someone will be able to help. We have a great team of researchers on here who are more than happy to help others with their brick walls
