Hi

I am looking for the following births

Derek Taylor, Born 21 April 1935, died April 1991, I got the birth date from a death entry on ancestry but cant find the birth record, need to order cert.

Also, Leslie Louis/Lewis Taylor born 22 July 1934.

Both would have been born in East London, around the hackney area

Would be grateful if anyone has the time to have a look for me

Hi,

There's a Derek L Taylor registered in Hackney, details-: Apr-Jun quarter 1935 vol 1b page 567. Mother's maiden name Penn.

And Leslie L Taylor reg. Hackney, details-:Jul-Sept. quarter 1934 vol 1b page 568. Mother's maiden name Nathan.

I am very stupid!!! It was actually peggy mothers maiden name nathan born in 1931. She is definitely peggy, not margaret I checked with her. Leslie I already had, I am so sorry for wasting your time.

Not sure about Derek, he is a mystery, he was definitely born, I met hhim!!! tee hee!!

Births Jul-Sept 1931, Peggy Taylor Edmonton vol 3a page 1176. Mother's maiden name Nathan.

Births Jul-Sept 1935 Derek Taylor Edmonton vol 3a page 1254. Mother's maiden name Nathan.

Hi Kirstie...........I found them on Ancestry........I'll try to talk you through how to search. Click on BMD indexes, then for anything later than1910 click on 'complete BMD index ranges & images 1837 - 1983',select either births, marriages, or deaths, next put your known details into the search box and click 'search' this should take you to the relevant page/pages. Hope this is clear, if not do ask for more instructions, I really don't mind. Good luck with it.........have a play around and I'm sure you will soon get used to it.

I found it first time!!! god knows where i was going wrong....ok I have been looking for a marriage of charlotte taylor james mellowship. They wuld have gotten married in the edmonton area. Charlotte was born around 1900 and there I have searched the marriage indexes from 1916 to 1930.

I have found marriages for charlotte and james's children.

I also noted down all of the charlotte taylor marriages in the right areas, and then looked for james mellowship marrying charlotte under her married name. I was thinking maybe charlotte taylor married before and wasnt a taylor when she married james...NOTHING!!!!

Charlotte would be my great great aunt if there is such a thing!
