Thread: Betsy GEDNEY.

Hi,

Spent a very long time trying to find parents and siblings of Betsy GEDNEY born about 1850 in the village of Burstwick, East Yorkshire. She married Henry Levett from Friskney, Lincolnshire in 1867. My problem is I now live in Spain and gaining access to anything is difficult. However a couple of weeks ago I had another try to find anything about her prior to her marriage and revealed an entry for her in the 1861 census, but this was on a pay site which rejected my address!!.

My family tree is almost complete back along all family lines apart from my GG Grandmother Betsy Gedney. I have many leads on the name of Gedney in East Yorkshire but need to tie up Betsey to one of them.

Help please.

In the 1861 census Betsey Gedney was a visitor in the home of Robert Ford and Frances Ford.

So I looked for the family in the 1851 census, this is what I found hope it is of some use to you.

John Gedney b1823 Burstwick occupation Labourer and Grocer
Hannah Gedney b1820 Keyingham Yorkshire
Thomas Gedney b1848 Burstwick
Betsey Gedney b1850 Burstwick
Burstwick Patrington Yorkshire
