Look up for 1881 1891 Census John Cairns Kearns Carns dob 1829 and any relevant family. On 1861 Census living at 43 Hornby Road Liverpool. Thanks Dove.

Hi DOVE,

I have searched the 1881 census for Liverpool on www.familysearch.org and found one or two John Kearns but I am not sure if it is correct. Was he born in Ireland? and could the address have been different?

RG11 folio 3597/72 page 6 film 134861

66, Back Portland St. Liverpool Lancashire

John Kearns head born 1827 Dundalk Ireland occ. dock lab. mar.

Agnes .. wife

I will search again if this is not right.

Matty Girl thanks for your reply . I am not sure where my John Kearns Cairns Carns came from he is down in 1861 at 43 Hornby Street with wife Margaret and Children John Catherine Ruth William and he is listed as a shoemaker. Just wondered where he had got to in the later years Dove.

It wasn't the same John

this one had a wife called Agnes. I did not find any on the 1881 Liverpool with Carns or Cairns but there is a possiblity that I missed him!

Matty Girl i have looked at my GGrans Wedding Cert in 1877 and John Cairns wasn,t down as deceased so ? Dove.

Hi Dove,

Have checked 1871, 1891 and 1901 cencus's for John Cairns and family at Hornby Street/Road without any trace.
According to 1861 John Cairns was born in Liverpool as was Catherine his daughter.
His wife was born in Ireland.
John, William and Ruth were born in Manchester.

I'm sorry I don't have a name index and am unable to check further without an address.
