Thread: Simmins look up.

Could anyone do a look-up for Peter(John) Simmins born Lancashire in 1817-1819 which would show his parents names? Although Peter came to Australia in 1845 any Lancashire census may show his parents'
names as I think they stayed in England. Sorry I don't know what part of Lancashire.
Any help would be great as this is a big stumbling block. Please note the spelling of SIMMINS. Thanks.

Hi Helen,

I have had a look at Blackburn St. Mary's Baptisms for the years 1817 to 1819 and not found any Simmins.

It may well be worth you looking at Lancashire Parish Clerks Records on line (free) it gives you a list of Towns & Parish's

www.lan-opc.org.uk

If you are lucky and find your John Simmins you will also get information about parents and abode etc.
