could some kind person do me a look up on the next cencus to 1881, for a family called hides, father alfred born 1851 newchurch,lancashire, mother margaret ann born 1852, cambridge, children emma j born 1877 newchurch, lucy b born 1878 newchurch, lancashire and elizabeth ann born 1880, newchurch,all so any thing on elizabeth ann's first husband john whone, she married him in march 1929,st nicholas church newchurch,thank you

FreeBMD has a John William Whone b. Jun Qtr 1865, Haslingden

That may not be the one, though.

The 1891 census has a John Whone, b 1871, Newchurch.....I will just get the details.

I can't find a birth registration for John Whone/Wone b. 1870/1871...sorry.
