Hi
![]() Hope someone can help me out with this. I have Ralph Cundiff b c1830 in Sutton Cheshire, he married Susanna Slack in 1849, Susannah b c1824 Sutton. I have the family on the 1881 Census but.....Susan born 1878 would make her mother 54 Too old for child bearing. Anyone got any ideas, cos this is doin me head in.Thanks. ![]() |

if this is the census ref
Source Citation: Class: RG11; Piece: 3497; Folio: 37; Page: 16; Line: ; GSU roll: 1341838. then susannah is born c1824 but if you look at all the other census her date of birth varies upto c1831. this means she might only be 46 ish . still late to bear children but not impossible. there is a big gap between her other children though, so it could have been one of her childrens children though i dont know how you would prove it unless parish records give any indication. |

Hi welshlady
![]() Thankyou for your reply. Yes I did wonder if Susannah was the grandmother of Susan as opposed to the mother, Then I did wonder if Ralph had remarried but nothing. Oh well not to worry. I'm sure something will come to light sooner or later ![]() |
