Thread: Aldridge of Eastbourne @ 1840

Hi Good Peoples,
Have managed to obtain Marriage certificate of Elizabeth Aldridge & John Simmonds (see "Simmonds & Aldridge" post).
Have confirmed Policeman background of Simmonds but Aldridge remains a mystery.
Marriage Certificate states father is Henry Aldridge and there are witnesses "Esther and Caroline Aldridge" (Thought that unusual too... i.e. no witness from John Simmonds family) Married at Parish Church in Eastbourne, Sussex June 1866.
Help much appreciated
