Good Afternoon All

I'm looking for Info on a Sarah Bracegirdle born 1811 In Thornhill Derbyshire Married John Heathcote March 1861 at Prestbury St Peter Cheshire East.
I think Sarah may have been married previously given that
she was around 50 when she married John. John was a widow in 1858 when he lost his first wife Martha Brocklehurst.

just down as sister to peter - doesnt say married or not

i can see johns first marriage to martha but not second marriage to sarah ( should say on ancestry marriages 1538-1959 not the bmd)

lots of bracegirldes around in prestbury but the only male bracegirdle marrying a sarah i can find is:

Thankyou for the info. I will probably have to send for Sarah's marriage certificate, hopefully her father's name will be on it. But then am I going to be able to get hold of a birth certificate for 1811.?

Oh thankyou Welshady, although that would make her 14 when she got married.

actually a tree on ancestry has this sarah as the husband of john heathcote - dont know if it is yours. with both those census on it

No not my tree

I only have John Heathcote on the 1881 Census married to Sarah.
