hi, trying to find birth of william cooper, mancetter warks around 1742, i have his marriage etc, but cant find birth, could anyone help?

could you give what info you know about him eg marriage date, wifes name, parents name, any census ref - it makes it a bit easier to look for him especially when it is a more common name

'Mancetter. a parish in the Atherstone division of the hundred of Hemlingford'

Possible Birth Registration's

William Cooper Dec 1839 Atherstone 16 - 210

William Cooper Dec 1840 Atherstone 16 - 199

William Cooper Jun 1847 Atherstone 16 - 221

I'm afraid it will be a process of elimination, but you will need to send for a copy certificate to verify which is the right one.

i am so sorry! to both of you, i have these, i got the date wrong when i posted-- its 1742 not 1842, he was wed to alice jefcote 31st oct 1765 mancetter and had his children there - but on the wed details it just says william cooper OF mancetter so not sure if he was born there? regards k.

	Names I am researching Walker (liverpool) davidson, mccullough,mcdowell grills, wilson and thornton (ireland) wookey (somerset) houstoun (worcester and scotland), jeffcoate and iliffe (midlands) byron, bailey and edwards (cheshire and staffs)
