Default Charles Burns 1871 census look up

Hi.Just received a marriage certificate of my GGG Grandfather and Mother. His name is Charles Burns(porter) and hers Harriet Cooper(spinster). They were married in Liverpool in 1872.They were down as minors which is annoying as for this reason,it does not show their ages. This makes it more difficult to find out when they were born. His Father is Charles Burns(Officer in customs) and hers Thomas Cooper (Bookeeper).Their residence at time of marriage was College Street in Liverpool.I am trying to find their ages and Mothers names. As their marriage was 1872 at this address, there is a good chance that one of them was living there at the 1871 census.Any help would be appreciated.......

Hi

I've just had a look at 1871 but can't seem to pin either of them down I would hazard a guess they were both born between 1852-56....any idea where they were born?

Do you know when they died? Or when their parents died?

Sorry not to be of more help yet

Good Luck with your research

Hi Loz.Quite a mystery really. They had a son Charles in 1875.In the 1881 census he was with two people called Metcalfe as a lodger.I have found a Charles at this time in Liverpool also a lodger so I am presuming that it could be his Father.Maybe the Mother Harriet died before the 1881 census.I worked out the dates that you gave to be approx the same.Poss born between 1852 and 56, as a minor was under 21 but expected them to be over 16.have no idea of their deaths or their parents as I havent got that far yet.Have all the docs for their son though.B.M and Death...Colin

Based on this info and the death record with an age i have found some likely candidates but none of them with Thomas as a bookeeper!!!

maybe some can check on findmypast they have more detailed bits of info on their to search for!
