Would some kind person please look up for me on the 1891 and 1901 census for Eccles Barton on Irwell.

Ada Robinson b 1862/1864 She was found on the 1881 Census with her family,

but I cannot find any trace of her after 1881, I cannot find a marriage for her or a death.

Is your Ada at home with father Amos and Mother Jane in 1881? If so have found a possible marriage i.e

Ada Robinson and either Joseph Tait/John Bailey Dec Qtr 1884 Macclesfield 8A167

Nanna's looks more promising as Ada Alice is on the 1881 census working as a servant............so she can't be yours.

Thank you for that information, Ada was living with her father Amos and family in 1881. In Eccles.

Ada Alice her father is William according to the IGI. So I found out later

She married William Hulme

So I think you may be right in that.

All I need now is to find her on the 1901 census to see if she had any children. Any help there much appreciated.

To either Jane Barritt or ANNE Redford

So ............Amos was married twice, and it would appear that Margaret and Robert were definitely his children to first wife Anne, however as Ada and James weren't living with him in 1871, I think there's a possibility they were Jane's children who were enumerated in 1881 as Robinson's. Therefore we need to find Jane in 1871. I'll keep looking must go to bed now. Maybe someone else can take a look in the meantime.

Hi Slizzy

Thank you I have all that information. It is ADA I wish to find.

James was found on the 1871 Census being looked after by relatives age 2.

Margaret Jane was b 1864 also ADA according to 1881 Census she was down as being 17 years of age same as Margaret Jane this making them out to be twins if that is correct.

Amos actually married three times.
