Thread: WILLIAM ELLIOTT look up please

Hi,
I'm looking for any information on William Elliott bapt 1812 Beaminster, Dorset. The only other info I've found is 1861 Beaminster census, where he is married and wife's name is Sarah (also born Beaminster abt 1815).
I have searched through dorset opc but cannot locate them.
Can someone spare some time to help me out please.

I found a marriage on the IGI for a William Elliott to a Sarah Wellspring on 20th Jan 1836 at Sherbourne Dorset could this be her? but when I looked at the 1841 census I found nothing to fit.I too found them on the 1861 - I will look at the 1871 and see if I can find anything

Think this may be them on the 1871 census at Church Street Beamish
RG10 piece 2026folio 37 pg 4

William Elliott head age 60 masons labourer Beaminster
Sarah " wife age 55 Dorchester
and this is them [I think] 1881 census again at Church St, Beaminster,
RG11 piece 2121 folio 60pg 9

William Elliott head marr age 70 Mason Beaminster
Sarah " wife " age 67 Fordingham

This could be him on 1841 in Bearminster

Name Age Mary Elliot 4 Sarah Elliot 22 William Elliot 30 William Elliot 3
Occupation hard to read could be plasterer .

Can't seem to find them on the 1851 census.
On 1881 they are living at Church Street Bearminster, occupation given as mason.

So far unable to find them on 1851, or Sarah on 1891/1901 census.

Thanks very much Pejay and Lizanne for taking the time to help out, I've now got every census I need (apart from 1851) and not sure if that marriage is the right one Pejay, but I'm more than happy with the all the rest that you've both supplied.
