Thread: Info on Evan Heaton

Looking for info on Evan Heaton born 1819 married Sarah Ann Nicholson on 7th Nov 1842 in Manchester Cathedral.
They had 4 children Evan born 1842 Stockport, Nancy born 1845-1845
William born 1850 Stockport and Mary Ellen born 1854 Stockport.
I found a death entry for Evan Junior 1889 in Lathom Preston Lancs and a possible death entry for Evan Senior 1900 aged 81 in Stockport, but I can't find an 1881 Census for Evan

Any help appreciated Thanks

Sorry for the late reply..My mouse needed cleaning, thus my cursor not wanting to go where I wanted it to go

I found Evan's daughter Mary Ellen, she was a visitor to Elizabeth Anderson In Macclesfield Cheshire. I haven't seen any Census's with Evan on, probably he's been mis-transcribed. Never mind I'll leave him on the back burner for awhile.

1861 there are two choices :

1. he is visitor in this household and a widow. born stockport.

so interseting choice correct occupation but wrong birthplace or right birthplace but a coal miner?????

actually can find the other evan born wigan in 1851 again as a visitor to another family in derbyshire but a power loom weaver cotton. however the other 1851 census must be the right one with wife sarah and son william of right age.

this could be him in 1891 living in cheadle with son william and family

William is a builder . in last column next to evan it says "stroke" also next to george ed 9 and fred 7 it says birthplace rhode island america then for the younger ones it says stockport again.
