Hi looking for marriage of joseph ormston b1877 longhoughton, found 2 but not sure if any are him, june qtr 1900 gateshead, durham and dec 1900 morpeth he had a son arthur edwin ormston b 1901 in morpeth, joseph was a police constable, any help wld be great thank you

Here is Joseph on the 1901 Census and seems like he married an Eliza.

Sharron having looked at the marriages on the relevant pages I would think it is the Morpeth 1900 Dec Qtr...There is an Eliza M Proudlock on the same page. If you want to be 100% sure I would get the son's birth cert.

Hi Sharron
As I said there was an Eliza M Proudlock on the same page on the Morpeth Marriage, and as the son was born in Morpeth... I would say it would be the most probable.. only way to determine if you are on the right path would be to either buy the marriage cert or the sons birth cert and then you would be 100% sure as to what her maiden name was.
