Lizzy, firstly thank you for the results from the census.s i got a bit confused with the birth records as most refer to THOMAS born in 1843, i got as far tracing back to this but did pick up the Anne and William, but have not researched them yet,can you decipher the address as it refers to i think Great Eastern Railways, and in records a mile location, never seen this entry in any records before,of course it ties up with station clerk,in 1861 census i have him show as visitor/grandson but in Meldreth ,Royston, but entry states him as Thos Mills born there, grand mother is a Mary Mills of 1799,do you think this is him, also i know he died after 1901 census, and before his son shown in 1891 census as follows. My grandather a FRANK EMANUEL born 1888/1889,Thomas is shown as deceased in his sons marriage in 1915 to a Louisa Plater , as deceased but his occupation tie's up with 1901 census of a Watchman, all family where living in Camden Town St Pancras from 1871,and between 1861 and 1871 census he married a Caroline born in London Borough ,and mention of SOUTHWARK in 1881 census ,this has now given me a question, what is the marriage details of CAROLINE & THOMAS C , the maiden name and where ,i will look myself but if you can help with the marriage details and death of THOMAS,i will be more than happy, over the moon ,as i have had a nightmare following the ELLIS family , my mum married a Mills from this research, thank you so much Lizzy, you are marvelous, regards Keith |
